Background
Celtic Grid Consulting (CGC) was set up in 2007 to provide first-class, professional IT and business services. Previously located on the Isle of Man, we relocated to Buffalo for family reasons and brought Celtic Grid Consulting across the Atlantic Ocean with us. Now our services are marketed to the Buffalo area with the same focus on customer service.
Our principal is MBA qualified, a Chartered Member of the British Computer Society (BCS), a registered PRINCE2 Practitioner and a Professional Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
The British Computer Society (BCS) is the leading professional body for those working in IT. BCS has over 60,000 members in more than 100 countries and is the qualifying body for Chartered IT Professionals (CITP). BCS was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1984. Its objects are to promote the study and practice of computing and to advance knowledge of and education in IT for the benefit of the public. BCS is also a registered charity. PRINCE2 was initially developed in 1989 by the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA) as a UK Government standard for information systems (IT) project management. It soon became regularly applied outside the purely IT environment and was released in 1996 as a generic project management method. PRINCE2 has become increasingly popular and is now the de facto standard for project management in the UK. Its use has spread beyond the UK to more than 50 other countries, including the USA.
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is widely recognized as the premier membership organization for computing professionals, delivering resources that advance computing as a science and a profession; enable professional development; and promote policies and research that benefit society. It is an educational and scientific society uniting the world's computing educators, researchers and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources and address the field's challenges. ACM's more than 82,000 members come from industry, academia and government institutions around the world.
Over the years CGC has provided services to companies as diverse as software development and Italian holiday villas, and has provided program & project management to organizations that include a global bank and a national postal service.
